I have seen this verse of scripture worked out in Debbie Boatright’s life in the many years I have known her. Debbie is an example of how the Lord takes that which is broken and makes it whole. She is an example of his redeeming love and as she shares from her heart, that work of restoration can be awakened in those that hear her as she points them to the one who has worked his beauty in her.

I knew Debbie before and after! Before and after Jesus Christ and before and after David Boatright. Both have made her into the woman and speaker she is today. Jesus Christ totally revolutionized her life and that Christian life has grown even stronger through the years. Debbie is a strong advocate for the Church and she is a strong advocate for the unborn. Marriage began as a struggle for she and David but love, patience and faith won out and theirs is a beautiful union. She speaks with passion about the things she loves and would be a blessing to your Church or group.

On January 28, 2018, I interviewed Debbie during our Sunday morning worship service so our congregation could hear her story and learn from her experiences. It was a powerful and transforming morning as we interacted on life, mistakes, babies, the high emotional and physical toll of abortion, and the miraculous healing that comes from Jesus Christ as we turn to Him in our need. Debbie and I had talked over the previous couple of weeks, and as we planned out our approach for her presentation, the Lord blessed our preparation and gave us a wonderful flow for the morning. Debbie’s attentiveness to detail and to guidance I gave her regarding the needs of our congregation was exceptional. Her desire to be a faithful guest who honored our specific needs was fully accomplished – her honesty, authenticity, tact, humility and Spirit-led enthusiasm for the Lord and for His power to heal broken lives captivated our congregation. We immediately heard very thankful listeners compliment her message and the way that it tactfully yet powerfully brought forward such sensitive issues for our congregation to consider. The gospel was proclaimed, and lives were deeply touched, including my own.
